Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Airport to Moshi town
Our company representative will pick you up from Arusha airport or Kilimanjaro international airport and drive you to Moshi town at the base of Mt. Kilimanjaro in Tanzania.
Where most travelers going to climb the Kilimanjaro stay before and after they conquer the mountain.
Day 2-8/9: Climbing Kilimanjaro Mountain
Embark on your climb up the mighty Kilimanjaro Mountain. A challenging yet doable task by anyone who is both physically and mentally prepared. With 7 different routes ascending Kilimanjaro, you have a choice to make putting into consideration your preferences, capabilities and the ability of your body to adapt to high altitudes.
We highly recommend 7-8 days on the climb that said for this trip we recommend the Lemosho route, Northern circuit route and or the Machame route, all these 3 have high summit success rates.
Whichever route you choose, remember the journey is as important as the goal. Take it slow, one step at a time, give your body the chance to acclimatize and up the summit you will be at the end of the ascent.
On the last day you will descend back to Mweka gate where your safari driver will pick you up from and take you to your hotel in Arusha for night of celebration.
Day 9: Flight to Zanzibar
Post breakfast in Arusha, the driver will drop you at the airport to catch your flight to Zanzibar. On arrival, our tour representative will pick you up and take you to your resort beach hotel where you will spend the next days and nights of your 14 days safari.
Day 10-13: Beach holiday in Zanzibar
Zanzibar is known for its vibrant culture, stunning white sand beaches and clear blue waters. You have just conquered the mighty Kilimanjaro, now it is time to lay back, relax and enjoy a refreshing time by the Indian ocean or go for those long walks on the beach.
If you are interested and still want to be on your feet up and about, Zanzibar has many different activities you can engage in or tourist centers you can visit like Stone town (a world heritage site), the Spice plantations, Ngome Kongwe (the oldest building in Zanzibar), the slave market, Jozani forest, Changuu Island, the spice market, forodhani market among others.
You can go surfing, snorkeling, diving, swimming with the dolphins or go out and experience some night life.
Day 14: End of safari
Wake up to the sound of the waves on the Indian ocean. Have your breakfast and you will be dropped at the airport to catch your home bound flight.
